Ghettoanalogue is the label home of The Razorwire Ballet, an independent Industrial / EBM act. In fact, the label is owned and operated by members of tRwB. Currently, we are not accepting other acts on the label, as we are currently not equipped to support them.
We do, however, provide consultation services with others who would like to attain success using a similar model. Having been doing this for several years, we can provide insight to the industry and share tips and tricks we have learned. We also offer consultation for artists entering the industry and want to maintain their independence. We are often asked if there is a story behind the name, "ghettoanalogue", and, as you might imagine, there definitely is. It goes back to 1998, when we had a a collection of analog gear. Some of it was vintage kit (Modular Moog, Minimoog, Arp 2600, Roland 808, Roland 606, Roland 909, etc.), but some of it was of our own making. We heavily engaged in circuit bending and other methods of hardware maiming. A colleague, upon seeing our setup for the first time remarked that it was the most "ghetto analog" rig he had ever seen. With a little bit of wordsmithing, the name was born. We also get questions about the "City of Boom". That is that place you go when it is just you and the art and the music. It is that special, little enclave inside your heart where you turn it up and tune everything else out. At ghettoanalogue, we specialize in helping people find their city. |
